PassCall Advanced Technologies Receives
Investment from Intel

Tirat Carmel, Israel February 27, 2000 - PassCall Advanced Technologies, a developer of wireless Internet text and voice applications, today announced that it had received an investment from Intel Capital subject to regulatory approval. Financial details were not disclosed.

PassCall Advanced Technologies has developed GateWave, a technology which provides the tools, the platform and the services to make Internet content available to any type of regular cellular phones, Smart Phones or WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) phones through voice or text browsing. Unlike other present technologies, GateWave enables mobile phone users to access any existing Internet web site without having to rewrite the site's content. This is achieved by using IML (Internet Mobile Link) to convert the content from HTML to a language which can be applied to any cellular display or voice.

PassCall's system, which is targeted for cellular operators and Internet content providers who want to extend their services to wireless clients, is tailored to current IVR systems and most existing data infrastructures such as WAP servers and SMS. The technology supports multiple languages and character sets and can handle user profiles and book marks.
