CYBERPLUS Licenses PassCall's GateWave to Provide Wireless Internet Services in Greater China Area

Haifa, August 15, 2000 – PassCall Advanced Technologies, a leading provider of mobile portal platforms, today announced that CyberPlus, a system provider for wireless Internet Commerce security and payment applications in Greater China area, has licensed PassCall’s GateWave in order to provide the first fully operational localized Chinese wireless portal. The agreement was initiated and achieved by SNG, Israel-Taiwan Initiative, a company that sponsors new Israeli technologies in Taiwan and the Greater China area. 

CyberPlus with PassCall can now offer the Greater Chinese market a complete wireless solution, and the first Chinese portal for Chinese handsets. CyberPlus has chosen to license PassCall’s platform after testing other solutions. CyberPlus intends to allocate dedicated sales and technical teams in order to license and support PassCall’s GateWave installations in the region. 

PassCall’s innovative GateWave delivers any existing Internet content, as is, to any cellular subscriber, without the need to modify or change the site. GateWave operates on a single platform and easily adapts to any existing and future wireless devices, including WAP. It is also the only fully operational and commercial solution which supports both voice and text navigation. 

CyberPlus will bring PassCall’s innovative GateWave to YesMobile (http://www.yesmobile.com), a leader in Chinese “wireless Internet” service and mobile commerce technology provider in Asia, as a first undertaken reference.
